DC Casting Unit

DC Casting Unit

Aluminum is one of the most widely used materials across various industries and can be cast using different methods. With nearly five decades of experience, Tolou Nourd Pars has played a significant role in the growth and advancement of the aluminum casting industry.
At Tolou Nourd Pars, casting is carried out using state-of-the-art furnaces and the Direct Chill (DC) continuous casting process. To produce high-quality aluminum slabs, precise control of both the casting process and the material’s microstructure is essential. One of the key advantages of the DC casting method is its superior process control, which ensures consistent product quality.
In this production stage, aluminum ingots are charged into the casting furnace and melted. Alloying elements are then added according to the required alloy composition. The molten metal is subsequently cast into aluminum slabs measuring up to 5 meters in length.
A major benefit of the DC casting process is its ability to precisely control solidification, resulting in improved mechanical properties and a significant reduction in casting defects.
Tolou Nourd Pars has a daily production capacity of 35,000 aluminum slabs in alloy grades 8011, 6061, and 1050, producing slabs of exceptional quality with highly accurate alloy compositions.

Slab Milling Unit (Gantry Milling Machine)

Milling is a machining process in which excess material is removed from the surface of metal or aluminum slabs using advanced, specialized milling machines. This process is of great importance in producing high-quality aluminum slabs, as it enables precise and complex surface machining, ensuring superior product quality and performance. At Tolou Nourd Pars, this process is carried out using state-of-the-art milling machines operated by a team of highly skilled and experienced professionals. To ensure the production of high-quality, standardized slabs, the company’s Quality Control Unit monitors and supervises all stages of the production process. The machined slabs are tested and evaluated using precise laboratory instruments and measurement tools to ensure that only high-quality and standard-compliant materials proceed to the preheating furnace.

Preheating Furnace

A preheating furnace (Preheated Rolling Furnace) is an important industrial equipment used to heat metal sections such as aluminum in various sizes and thicknesses. These furnaces are widely used in the rolling process to facilitate metal forming operations.
Typically, these furnaces have a rectangular chamber design in which heat is distributed uniformly and consistently. One of the main advantages of preheating furnaces is the reduction of tensile stress in aluminum during the rolling process, which helps prevent cracking and surface peeling during operation.
Tolou Nourd Pars is equipped with the most advanced preheating furnaces. In this stage, previously produced slabs are cut into 1-meter lengths and placed inside the furnace under a specific thermal program to prepare them for hot rolling.

Rolling Mill

Rolling is a mechanical process used to shape metals and reduce their thickness. In this stage, slabs are passed through two or more rotating rollers to achieve the desired thickness and form. In addition to changing thickness, rolling also improves the physical properties of aluminum.
Based on the processing temperature, rolling is generally divided into two types: hot rolling and cold rolling.
Hot rolling is performed at temperatures above the recrystallization point of the metal. The high temperature increases the formability of aluminum and enhances its flexibility without cracking, enabling the production of thinner sheets. At Tolou Nourd Pars, this process is carried out using modern and advanced equipment, where slabs are gradually reduced in thickness through several stages and prepared for further processing.
Cold rolling, on the other hand, is performed at room temperature and significantly below hot rolling conditions. In this process, aluminum passes through multiple rotating rollers to achieve the required thickness and surface quality. Cold rolling is typically performed after hot rolling and is used to produce sheets with very low thickness (down to 1.5 mm).
One of the key advantages of cold rolling is its ability to precisely control dimensions, thickness, and uniformity of the final product. It also improves the strength and hardness of aluminum, making it widely used in various industries.
The cold rolling machines and equipment at Tolou Nourd Pars enable the production of high-quality aluminum sheets with a wide range of thicknesses. The company operates nine cold rolling units, allowing large-scale production of aluminum discs and sheets in high tonnage.

Pressing Unit

Pressing has a long history in science and industry and refers to a process in which metal is shaped into a desired form using pressure and force. This technique is widely used across various industries and can be performed manually or by machine.
After rolling and achieving the required thickness, aluminum sheets are transferred to this unit for the production of aluminum discs. Tolou Nourd Pars is equipped with 8 pressing machines, with a daily production capacity of 16,000 tons of aluminum discs.
The existing equipment is designed in a way that allows precise control over accuracy and operating speed, resulting in high-quality aluminum discs with improved consistency and performance.

Annealing Unit

Annealing is a widely used heat treatment process performed to reduce the hardness of metals and increase their ductility. In this process, aluminum undergoes a controlled thermal cycle to modify its microstructure, which in turn changes its physical and chemical properties, improves formability, and reduces brittleness.
This process is carried out in specially designed furnaces. The aluminum discs produced in the previous stage are placed inside annealing furnaces to reach the required temperature under a controlled thermal program.
One of the key advantages of Tolou Nourd Pars annealing furnaces compared to conventional systems is their ability to provide real-time temperature control, ensuring high precision and product consistency.
After cooling, the discs are transferred to the inspection and packaging unit.

Quality Control Unit

The core focus of Tolou Nourd Pars is to enhance the quality of its products. Therefore, the Engineering and Quality Control Unit monitors and supervises the entire production process from start to finish. This unit consists of trained and experienced personnel who work alongside other departments to ensure consistent product quality.
In this unit, each product is individually inspected, and any defective items are removed from the production cycle. The Quality Control team continuously strives to deliver high-quality products to customers by conducting alloy analysis using a quantometer device.
In order to honor the trust of valued customers, the company is committed to delivering products and aluminum discs with the best possible packaging. After inspection, the discs are transferred to the weighing and packaging unit, where they are packaged using modern equipment and prepared for delivery to customers.
