An aluminum disc (aluminum circle) is a flat, circular component produced from rolled aluminum sheet through a cutting or pressing process. The diameter, thickness, and alloy type are selected according to the intended application and forming process. Due to their good formability, lightweight properties, and corrosion resistance, aluminum discs are widely used in the production of various industrial components and products.

Advantages of Aluminum Discs

Applications of Aluminum Discs

Aluminum discs are used across various industries depending on the alloy type, thickness, and required mechanical properties. Some of their most common applications include:

  • Production of Cookware and Kitchen Equipment
  • Production of Non-Stick Cookware and Components Used in Multi-Layer Cookware
  • Lighting Components and Equipment
  • Components Produced by Pressing, Drawing, and Forming
  • Certain Industrial Equipment and Household Appliances

Note:

Aluminum discs are primarily used in the manufacture of kitchenware, particularly stainless steel and non-stick cookware. In other industries, their applications are generally more specialized and limited to specific components. For example, in the firefighting industry, aluminum discs can be used in the production of certain tubular components.

Applications of Aluminum Discs

Aluminum Discs at Tolou Navard Pars

Aluminum discs are produced in 1050 and 8011 alloys, with diameters ranging from 120 to 1,800 mm and thicknesses from 1.2 to 8 mm. The raw materials, alloy composition, and surface quality are carefully monitored throughout the production process to ensure that each aluminum disc meets the technical specifications required by various industries.

FAQ

?What Is the Difference Between 1050 and 8011 Aluminum Discs

1050 aluminum alloy, due to its high aluminum purity, good formability, and favorable thermal and electrical conductivity, is suitable for a wide range of forming processes. 8011 aluminum alloy also offers good pressing and forming characteristics, depending on its temper and intended application. The appropriate alloy should be selected based on the final product requirements and manufacturing process.

?What Are the Applications of 1050 and 8011 Aluminum Discs

These aluminum discs are used in the production of electrical components, kitchenware, solar panels, food and pharmaceutical applications, chemical industries, and boiler manufacturing.

Where Are the Aluminum Ingots Used in Disc Production Sourced From?

Tolou Navard Pars uses 99.80% pure aluminum ingots produced by Almahdi Aluminum Company and IRALCO (Iranian Aluminium Company) for the production of aluminum discs.

Production Process
The production process begins with the melting of raw materials and casting of aluminum slabs. After casting, the slab surfaces are milled to achieve the required quality and uniformity. The slabs are then transferred to the preheating furnace according to a specified temperature and time program.
Next, the slab thickness is reduced through hot rolling followed by cold rolling until the required sheet thickness is achieved. The prepared aluminum sheets are then transferred to the pressing unit, where they are formed into discs of the required diameter. When necessary, the discs undergo annealing, followed by quality control, packaging, and preparation for shipment.
